On Sunday, February 8th and February 22nd (Strictly Dub Music), I Never Knew Radio will dedicate shows to one of the most important figures in Jamaican music, Sly Dunbar. As one half of Sly & Robbie, Sly helped shape the sound of reggae and dancehall for generations. His drums powered countless classic records and set the rhythm for artists around the world. From roots to digital, from Kingston to the global stage, his influence is everywhere. Sly wasn’t just keeping time. He was creating new directions for music. His style, creativity, and work ethic raised the bar and opened doors for many who followed.
