Mutabaruka Opens Up About The Cruel Persecution He Experienced As A Young Rasta

In this reasoning Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and radio host Mutabaruka opens up about the terrible treatment of Rastafari by the Jamaican police force and Jamaican citizens. Mutabaruka says, “It’s not only police who used to run down Rasta; the normal citizens who never did like Rasta, never liked how you looked. They used to call you dirty, nasty, natty head, dreadlocks man. A lot of Rasta ended up in Wareika Hills (in east Kingston) and it’s there that people start saying that Rasta used to sacrifice children. Yes, they used to say it! They used to say it.”
