In this reasoning Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and radio host Mutabaruka speaks about the numerous groups and cultures who have worn dreadlocks prior to the Rastafari movement.

Mutabaruka says, "In the Aboriginal group in Australia, they have locks, they have locks. Now, there are two stories. In Numbers 6, it tell you that no razor should come up on your head neither shall you eat anything from the vine until the days of your separation. A lot of people say that’s where Rastaman got their idea of locks from. A next version is that during the Mau Mau Uprising --- a lot of you might not know about the Mau Maus, but you can check that out too. Jomo Kenyatta was known as the Burning Spear; that’s where Winston Rodney got his name from, the former president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta. He led an uprising against the British known as the Mau Mau and a lot of them wore locks and Rastaman seeing these people fighting white supremacy and colonialism, adapted that image."

In this reasoning Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and radio host Mutabaruka speaks about the similarities between the famous nursery rhymes and bible stories. He argues both were made with the intention of providing lesson through allegory not to be accepted as historical events.

Mutabaruka says, "When are we going to give up those little archaic beliefs and thinking and get down to the nitty gritty of it? The nitty gritty is that these stories are allegories! And if you do not understand what allegories are, go in the dictionary to look for it. In Galatians, Paul tells you about the allegories of Abraham. In other words, he is telling you that Abraham did not exist. It is just a story they are showing you that might have a greater meaning. So they use images to show the story. So when they say the allegory of Abraham, they are telling you that Abraham didn’t really exist ,but they are going to tell you a story about a man named Abraham."

In this reasoning Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and radio host Mutabaruka explains the role the First Council of Nicaea and Constantine played in the shaping of modern Christianity.

He says, "Constantine had an empire that stretched from Constantinople, way over that side, and there was a time when he decided how to make Christianity more palatable to the world. Not like the Jews did, nor like this other group; what happened was that there was a group of people who was fighting against the Greco –Roman Empire, so they created a lot of what were called Zealots and they fought against the Roman Empire with violence. Now, the Romans needed to pacify these people, and the only way they could pacify these people was to attack their belief system and their culture."

Mutabaruka goes on to speak about the difference between the mythical Jesus and the historical Jesus.
